Weekend Hours and Weekend Study Spaces

Answer

During the fall and spring semesters, the Library building is open from noon to 6 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays so students have access to study spaces in the Study Commons (ground floor), Events Room (LIB 121), and lobby areas. The Library has extended hours during the final weeks of each semester. Check our current hours at library.sfsu.edu/hours

The Main Library, which includes the Book Checkout & Pickup Desk and the upper floors of the Library, is closed on weekends.

However, we offer 24/7 Ask A Librarian chat assistance to students, faculty, and the SF State community! Now you can get those burning research questions answered early in the morning, in the middle of the night, and on weekends, too.

Looking for other weekend study spaces on campus? The Cesar Chavez Student Center is open Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. There are study tables and desks throughout the building and an information desk near the main entrance. The student center also provides network printing from your laptop, food vendors, microwave ovens, and group study areas.
