Where can I study in the Library?

Answer

Study areas in the Library will be open for the Fall semester.   Please check the Library's Fall Semester schedule for specfic services, floors, and hours.

Study Rooms in Research Commons and Study Commons are available for reservations.  Students can request single or multiple two-hour reservations.  To check availability and reserve rooms, visit the Library Rooms calendar.   Please log in with your SF-State-9-digit-ID@sfsu.edu and password.  You will need to complete the Two-Factor Authentication to reserve a room.

Reserving a room is restricted to 3 hours per day and reserved in two-hour slots.  You can request a room up to three days in advance, schedule permitting.

Study Space on the 1st floor is available in the "Events Room" (Room 121) and in the 2nd floor Room 280 when there isn't a scheduled event.  There is a "Quiet Study Area" inside Study Commons and Research Commons.

Also, there are a few outdoor spaces where you can access our WiFi and study.  One site is located outside of the Main Entranceway to the Library.  The other site is near the entrance to the Library on Holloway Avenue.  Both sites have stone table areas where you can work, weather permitting.
