How can I access a textbook on Course Reserves?

Answer

The library provides physical and electronic versions of the some required course material.

To search Course Reserves, start at the Library homepage. Click on the Reserves link under the search bar, then type in the course code, course name, or the professor's name. Finally, click on the course code and name to see the materials list.

Physical materials will have a “Reserves” location and a call number. Bring this call number with your OneCard to the Book Checkout & Pickup desk to check out.

Electronic materials will have an “Online” location. Click on the title to access the material through OneSearch. You must log in with your SF State username and password to view electronic materials.

You may also check the eBook Textbook list to see if an electronic version of your textbook is available. Type in the name of the course, click on the URL link, and sign in with your account. The ability to download, save, or email the full or partial text varies by title.
