How do I get rid of a financial hold on my library account?

Some library fines may be visible in your Student Center and may be paid online or at the Bursar’s Office.
If your fine is not visible, or if you have questions, please contact circmail@sfsu.edu and include your full name and SF State ID as they appear in your Student Center.
During fall and spring semesters, the Book Checkout desk can also be contacted through the chat function on the Library’s website. Under the “What Kind of Help Do You Need” category select the “Borrowing & Returning Materials” option and you will be able to speak directly to a staff member in the department. (Note: this service is only available on a limited basis, according to staff availability.).
